Yemin Orde Youth Village Director, Shmuli Bing, and Yemin Orde graduate, Tamir Temesgen Zalaw, had a busy week as they toured South Florida, from coast to coast.

Many thanks to board members Michael Azeez, Mimi Bengio, Alan Cornell and Steven Rosenfeld for assisting us in setting up meetings in Boca Raton and Palm Beach Gardens.
Yemin Orde Youth Village was the Mitzvah of the Month for Temple Beth Am in Jupiter, Fla.. We were thrilled to be invited to participate in a lunch and learn program with congregants.

Warm hospitality in Florida
The Southwest Dade Women’s Philanthropy group of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation invited our guests to speak at a breakfast, where Shumli and Tamir provided inspiring stories of resilience and transformation of Israel’s at-risk youth.
We also had the opportunity to spend Shabbat with the community in Bal Harbour, where Shmuli and Tami addressed the congregations of Young Israel and The Shul. They also were invited to a special Shabbat dinner hosted by Tammy and Aaron Attias and a lunch hosted by Natalie and David Wolf.

ImpactIsrael chair-elect, Robert Arogeti, (photo, left, with Shmuli Bing) traveled from Atlanta to attend a community gathering at Temple Sinai in Sarasota. The event was co-sponsored by the Sarasota-Manatee Jewish Federation and hosted by Laurie Lachowitzer. Robert encouraged attendees to visit Yemin Orde Youth Village on their next trip to Israel.
Shmuli and Tamir also stopped in Ft. Myers and Naples, Fla., to meet with friends. We certainly look forward to returning to the Sunshine State in 2020. Contact us if you would like to host an event in your community!
