Graduates Day at Yemin Orde is one of the most important events of the year when alumni return and are seen as positive role models by the younger children at the Village.

This year, 79 graduates returned to the Village to receive Graduates Day1scholarships for higher education or financial aid to ease economic challenges faced by many young adults.

Shmuli Bing, Director, Yemin Orde Youth Village, discussed the vital importance of graduates as positive role models to today’s students.

“Our youth see you, their friends, on the road to success, studying at university after having completed military or national service. You are the best source of hope and inspiration for them. They see that they can succeed, too,” Bing said.

Graduates met with groups of current students in their homes and shared some of the challenges they faced after graduation as well as their achievements. After a festive dinner in honor of the returning graduates, everyone gathered for the Graduates Day scholarship ceremony in the gym.

The Graduates Day program is supported entirely by gifts to Friends of Yemin Orde.

Assisting Yemin Orde graduates throughout their lives is just one of the extraordinary activities that reflects the magic of Yemin Orde. Graduates know that the promise “Yemin Orde will always be there for you” remains true and constant throughout their lives.
